Cbank to resume National Wealth Fund foreign currency deals Jan
MOSCOW, Nov 27 (PRIME) -- The central bank will resume foreign currency transactions on the local market connected with the replenishment and spending of money from the National Wealth Fund in January, the bank said in a statement on Monday.
"The Central Bank of Russia will resume transactions on the national foreign currency market connected with the replenishment and use of money from the National Wealth Fund from January 2024 taking into account all transactions made with money from the National Wealth Fund in 2023," the authority said.
The estimate of the net amount of the transactions will be presented at the end of 2023.
The central bank stopped foreign currency operations under the budget rule from August 10 until the end of the year because of the ruble’s fall.
